HTTPS or a different port number for Port Checker script?

Recommended Posts

Like many ISPs, mine redirects all web traffic destined to port 80 via its' "transparent" proxy servers, even cgi calls like the port checker script. Would it be possible to run that on a different port number, or allow HTTPS, so people like me can still use this? (it only needs a self-signed certificate).
