saimike Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 hi there,i'm currently using v1.6 of utorrent with the following network settings:upload limit=0upload slots=4connections (per-torrent)=50connections (global)=200max active torrents=8max active downloads=5i noticed that with with 2 active torrents (with toomany connections to count) and 3 torrents which i stopped while downloading, my web browser gives me a "page cannot be found" even when i try www.gmail.com ... could this be windows running out of ports on the at the tcp level? (ie. this is not a layer 1,2,3 issue)as an aside, what resources does each peer consume (in the peers tab), regardless of connection status (snubbed, downloading, uploading, choked, etc)?just wondering if anyone has this insight.
Switeck Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 No, it's probably the upload limit=0 (UNLIMITED!)...you're not on an infinite upload speed connection by any chance? If not, you probably would be better off lowering that speed to ~50-80% your upload speed's max.
saimike Posted July 27, 2006 Author Report Posted July 27, 2006 unfortunately no infinite upload speed. however my uploads haven't been going up a lot ... been doing about 5kbyte/s.i'm lowering the global/per-torrent connection to see if it helps any.

Switeck Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 You must limit the upload speed too. Telling µTorrent to run without upload speed limits will CRIPPLE a connection!Set upload speed below what your connection is capable of doing. No sense trying to do the impossible.
