jsillup
You can disable UPnP port mapping in Connection options. You don't need that feature if you set up your router port forwarding manually and are not randomizing the port µTorrent listens on.
dbitalia
Thanks for that.. what does it actually do tho???
Ultima
It forwards the port automatically, if your router supports it.
Leylo
go into your belkin router settings, then go system settings at the bottom of the page, scroll down and enable the upnp settings and apply changes. I did it , however it doesn't seem to change anything.
Ultima
It's pointless to use UPnP if you already forwarded your ports manually anyway.
Leylo
which is better, and if you forward ports manually do you just pick a random number?
Ultima
They're both the same. The better question is, which one is easier for you? If UPnP isn't supported in your router, manual forwarding is the "easier" solution. If it is supported, then you just go with UPnP.And yeah, pick a port between 10000 and 65535, but not 32459.
