Switeck
You may need to reset your router to factory settings just so you can set a proper password on it....and then reconfigure it again for your entire network....and you may even need to flash its bios/firmware as well.Good luck! Ultima
http://www.phenoelit.de/dpl/dpl.html <-- is your router listed here, and if so, have you tried the default username/password listed?
donpost109
i have never changed the username or password. typing in admin and password dont work. is there a way i can just somehow get back to the red triangle since it was doing better than the yellow triangle, i cant even connect to a single person now. donpost109
by the way, now im downloading at 3 kb/s and uploading at 40 kb/s
Jason180
Yeah you can connect directly to your router..All you need to do is take the wire that connects directly to the modem...Since the wires have 2 ends...1 connects to the modem the other to the pc..Try taking the end that connects to the pc and plug it into your laptop..If it doens;t work you need to do port forward etc...Most probably someone else changed the password for the modem home page
donpost109
thanks man, i'll try that later. i hope it works! i wish i knew what changed the red triangle to yellow because i didnt mind downloading at 20 kb/s a torrent though i knew the port was closed. Ultima
@donpost109: Did you read my post? Or are you saying that it used to work with that username/password combination, and that it doesn't anymore?
donpost109
ultima, i read your post. the website that shows how to forward ports said that typing admin for username and password for password would work but it didnt. i didnt set up the router so i wouldnt know what the password would be if it has been changed. and to let you guys know, i went back to the red circle and am now downloading at a decent speed again. i didnt even touch anything, the same way it randomly went to yellow it went back to red. im so confused. Jason180
The yellow circle doesn't stay on for long...Normally another case would be your router/modem's firewall...Main thing is you need to get access into your modem homepage in order to do portforward and turn off the firewall..Worst come to worst call up your ISP and say you forgot your username and password...I think they'll give you a new password i guess...
