Error 'offline (timed out)' while downloading URL

I have been downloading torrents but now when I try to download more I get this error when I add the torrent from the URL

If you've already downloaded a bunch, have you stopped the older torrents that you've seeded past 100%?

Running (way?) too many torrents at once would probably trigger that error on flakey networking software and hardware.

Also, if your settings are too aggressive for your connection or hardware they can trigger the same problem.
