vertigo21
Ok, I was able to form a static IP addy and poperly forward a port. All systems were a go...until. I went and did my preferences according to this guide: http://paperkingdoms.wordpress.com/2006/08/17/setting-up-utorrent-for-optimum-performance/ Now however, everytime I try to start Utorrent my modem's connection dies. I am using a netgear CG814WG modem and router. Any suggestions on my problem? I know it has to be with my new settings.....I guess. ;-)Thanks in advance, Vertigo21
Ultima
We do not endorse the use of any other guide besides the official Setup Guide. AFTER you delete settings.dat and settings.dat.old from %appdata%\uTorrent and configure everything according to the Setup Guide, if it continues to happen, check the first link in my signature. Switeck
The settings that website recommends aren't too good. WAY too many upload slots per torrent, and too many connections per torrent...short of a 100 Mbit full duplex FDDI line!Have you changed any advanced settings?
