rudolfo2 Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 Is this correct :the % column shows 0.0;but the Uploaded column is showing plenty of MB.Does utorrent upload also blanks ??If it does, what's the point ??Why not leave it to peers to exchange the blocks already uploaded ??Why must seeder do it ??Is there everything OK but utorrent shows stats with an error ??
Ultima Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 And how do you know the pieces are even passing the hash check on the peer's end? What if you're sending corrupt pieces? What if your networking hardware is corrupting the pieces on the way there? What if their networking hardware is corrupting the pieces? What if your RAM or their RAM was bad? In any of those cases, if the peer's client detects corrupt pieces, it won't count it toward any increase in percentage -- not seeing how no percentage increase automatically means µTorrent is sending "empty" data. And to answer your question, no, µTorrent doesn't send junk.
rudolfo2 Posted October 26, 2006 Author Report Posted October 26, 2006 Then all pieces should be corrupt, not only just for one peer;in that case I would never be able to finish my upload, which by the way never happened so far,NO complains at all.You can't have 100MB of corrupt pieces and finish the upload.
Ultima Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 No, not ALL pieces should be corrupt just because of those reasons. DLink's DMZ Downoad Destroyer does NOT affect ALL pieces. Bad RAM does NOT destroy ALL pieces. If the peer's still finishing regardless of the % column, then it's the PEER that's reporting the numbers incorrectly.
