Upload speed cap. Checked other posts, no help.

So yeah, the deal is this. Just got Comcast, hooked up my modem and whatever, no router (yet) and the Upload speed caps around 44k/s, give or take a few k/s. I did the speed test, set it to 100mbps, also opened enough ports to handle high bandwidth, cant upload more than this. I can download up to 500k/s though, so Im not sure what the problem is, I know close to nothing about networking and could use some help.

Thanks in advance.

I have Comcast cable ISP as well, 42 KB/sec upload speed is all I can sustain and VERY close to the limits Comcast puts on my line.

You've got a 384kilobit/sec upload bandwidth as well, which at best shouldn't get more than 40-45 KILOBYTES/sec upload speed.

Almost all broadband connections can download immensely faster than they can upload.

If you're ever downloading faster than you are uploading, likely more than 1 other person has the reverse condition!
