Most people DON'T actually use the installer, but we're not going to recommend one over the other, as µTorrent runs perfectly whichever one is used. Some people are comfortable with using standalone executables, others can't live without an installer. It's all a matter of preference which I'm sure no one here is interested in imposing on users.
