whizkid25 Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Hello all. I'm from Malaysia and unfortunately our leading ISP, TMnet has decided to join that list called 'bad ISPs'. Yes they have started traffic shaping or throttling BT downloads on the network. I have done some reading and most people say proxies would be the best but what about reliability here? There are excellent ones but do they work for all ISP networks? So I was wondering whether any advance BT users could give a few tips and list out their settings when using uTorrent on throttled connections. Thanks in advance.
Switeck Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 If you cannot connect without using proxies, then you probably should consider another ISP or downloading method.
1Bullet Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 try switching to a port 2327 make sure you have encryption enabled. your ISP should detect this as netscape messaging. Slow your upload and your download down so not to attracked attention.
