randomint
BitComet has the feature to seed a torrent even it is not 100%it is very useful especially when i don't want to have any modification on the files i've already had, but want to help seeding on a tracker where the torrent says i'm only at eg. 99%
slayers
I think it works the way you expect now. If you start a torrent that is 99% complete, it will seed what it has available to all interested peers. It´s just the way the protocol works, there is no need to do anything else. Unless I´m missing something from that BitComet feature.
randomint
how can you do that?what uTorrent does now is:1. you open the torrent file2. uTorrent does a check3. if not 100%, it starts downloadingie. it'll always try to get to 100%what i was saying is, if you're 50%, and you don't want to download anything, just uploading, there's an option to do that in BitComet
slayers
Ok, I get it now.Try this, select the files you don't want to change, right-click and select "don't download". I'm guessing it's going to continue uploading (seeding) and not download. If it doesn't work, hey, your request was made. I don't see a point in it, but it's not for me to judge. randomint
eg. if you downloaded a file from tracker A, you want to keep seeding in tracker A, and at the meantime, you want to seed in trackers B and C, but the torrents from trackers B & C say 99%how can you seed in uTorrent? i don't think you canstop downloading a file? well, yes it will work sometimes, what if the torrent is just one big file? (eg. 4GB .ISO)
MrCoke
if you have a file that after hash check is not 100% and you want to seed, just go to the "files" section and set them all to "do not download" then it will seed them.

jroc
Yea. This way works. I've done this many times in other clients that have the "indiv file(s) download" feature. Of course, uTorrent does it the smoothest....
