ajoh30871
Okay, I am not sure if anyone else has came across this but here it goes.I have been downloading files at 7, 8 or 900k. at the same time I am also uploading from 40 to 80k. The problem is this. After i get the file downloadedmy upload speed does not stay up there. instead it drops down to normally around20 to 50k Average. the question is, Why?? Why do I upload more when I am downloading the file as oppose to just seeding the file. is there a reason why this happens? is there anything that i can do to increase my upload speed? but I think that some of it has a lot to do with me not also being able to connect to all of my peers that is in the swarm? this question is being asked in another form. Any help that You can give will be greatly appreciated.Thank You in Advance.Ajoh
Switeck
It probably depends on the torrents you're downloading/uploading.However, there may be something suble in your settings (combos that work poorly together). Please post ALL the settings you're using as shown by Speed Guide (CTRL+G).Also, what advanced settings have you changed? ajoh30871
okay. thanks for the reply.these are my current settings as of right now.Upload Limit - 0Connections Per torrent - 100Max Active Torrents - 6Upload Slots - 6Connections (Global) - 600Max Active Downloads - 5I have not messed with the Advanced Setting simply because I don't understand what everything is. so I have left them as they are. Thanks for any help that you can give.

Switeck
Try setting your upload limit to 150 KB/sec -- with the alternate upload limit set to 180 KB/sec.Check that on torrents with lots of seeds+peers that you can actually upload at those speeds. If not, reduce the upload speed to at least 10 KB/sec lower than what µTorrent seems to sustain. ajoh30871
Okay Switek. it is not working any different. let start out by saying thank you for your patience and your help..... Now, I am Seeding South park that has 118 seeders and 59 Peers. my current upload is only 1.4k and I am only connecting to 1 to 3 peers. How can I go aboutincreasing this number. ( peers and my upload. ) I also have a capable upload speed of 150k.... Now, I have gone in the properties of the torrent and tried to increase my setting - the Number of Upload slots - and also decrease it dramatically and I have not seen no noticible difference... My current setup in the speed guide is as follows:Upload Limit - 75KConnections Per torrent - 100Max Active Torrents - 6Upload Slots - 6Connections (Global) - 600Max Active Downloads - 5I set the upload to 75k Max while downloading set it also to 150 when not DL'ing. if you have any advice on this troublesome situation please let me know. thank You again.....ajoh
Switeck
Have you run the 3rd party patch to allow Windows XP to make more than 10 half-open connections at once?Barring that, what other software is running on your compter (as shown by Process Explorer or CTRL+ALT+DEL list)?I fear you may have a bandwidth-eating trojan/virus. ajoh30871
No, what is this 3rd party patch and where can i get it????thank you. I am willing to try almost anything to fix this.I am downloading a torrent now and uploading at 48k. After it gets done I almost guarantee it will go down toabout .5 to 10k........ Thanks again....
