HoochieMamma
I would like to know this aswell, it's something got to do with the tracker.
creed
By convention most trackers support another form of request, which queries the state of a given torrent (or all torrents) that the tracker is managing. This is referred to as the "scrape page" because it automates the otherwise tedious process of "screen scraping" the tracker's stats page
HoochieMamma
Ohhh ok, so scraping makes it posible to see the total amount of peers/seeders?
creed
Yes mate, I think that it checks the torrent exists, is what it is, and who is getting and giving.I think it does anyway...
dcorban
Scraping is simply updating the seeds/peers status of a torrent you are neither downloading or seeding. It allows the program to monitor the health of all torrents you have loaded. If this is disabled, then torrents you do not currently have active will not have their status updated. green
does it scrape the once tracker and grab every torrent's stats, then fill in the info in any matching torrents you have?or does scrape the tracker and look for that specific torrents' stats before moving onto the next torrent, scraping the same tracker again and look for the specific torrents' stats before..... etc
