Uploading and trackers

Hi all! New to torrents so please bear with me. While I don't have a great deal to share, at the mo, I have got so far as to create torrent files of what I do have. What I can't get my head round is where do I upload these torrents to and what are/how do I get trackers please.

you need to be a member of a tracker community. (either a private one where you need an invitation for example) or you use a public tracker like the pirate bay.

the announce url you must use in the torrent creation programm you find on the webpages of the tracker community you choose.

in case of TPB it is for example: http://tpb.tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce

so just register a membername there, create a torrent file with that announce url in it and then upload that torrent file via their uploadform http://thepiratebay.org/upload.

Of course you must have all the right for the content to publish it! Otherwise the MAFIAA might demand money from you for copyrightinfringement ;-)

Edit: note that the guide is a bit confusing regarding "Private Tracker"! Do NOT check that if you want to make sure that you can use DHT and PEX to help the distribution in case the tracker goes offline.
