PhilA
Someone else here has the same problem. Did you realize that Vista doesn't play media files? [unless they are DRM approved I guess]I believe Vista may be blocking utorrent use.
Darkbob
Well in a perverse twist of fate I found the problem. Seems that at the exact moment I got my Vista installed my ISP decided to switch off all my ports.Turns out one of my kids was using Avast for an antivirus. It let through SpySherrif and that program started sending spam out. The ISP saw the spam and shut off all our ports. Dooh!I got rid of the spam (and almost got rid of the kid) and the ISP turned the ports back on. Everything is fine now. Thanks for your help.--DB
Switeck
A thing to note, spyware/adware/spam-ware is often not detected by dedicated 'antivirus' software on purpose....They want you to buy a dedicated anti-spyware program instead. For that, there's SpyBot Seek and Destroy and Ad Aware.
