m02a
I have a 128 Kbps internet connection, so the download speed should be 16 KB/s, but when I'm downloading a torrent file and trying to download an http file at the same time, the download speed becomes 1-2 KB/s, but surprisingly the torrent download speed is remains untouched. My question is: Does downloading a torrent file affect the download speed of other downloads and surfing speed, like an http or ftp download? In other words, does it make the lines busy or exclusive for the torrent download?
Switeck
It's a SHARED resource. If you're using it for one, it cuts BIGTIME into the other.Quite likely if 1 is going 10 KB/sec then the other is unlikely to reach 3 KB/sec.
