wackywelshman
Hello, the forum has been most imformatative so far with my rather pathetic download speed of 15kb/s average, so I wonder if you could help with this thought?I understand that other programs using the internet connection will slow down the torrent speed - correct? Doeds this mean things that are idle as well, like skype? Is there a way to tell what programs are currently using the connection? I have tried everything else, everything is setup correctly and all patches have been applied. Either I have something on my machine that is throttling the speed or you can add Xtra broadband from Telecom NZ to your list of bad ISP's...... wackywelshman
Oh, I have 2 network bridges in my network connections that have no properties and are not connected to anything, but I cant delete them or disable them ever. Could they be having an effect?
kurahashi
Is there a way to tell what programs are currently using the connection? There is lots of network monitoring soft... DUMeter, BWMeter, Netmeter and many many others. And you can - for testing purposes - always disable all the soft except the one you wants to monitor and observe how it behaves.
