Switeck Posted March 13, 2007 Report Share Posted March 13, 2007 With its huge costs of $1 million and $250/year maintainence, it is a real threat to college budgets!Depending on how Congress views it, colleges in universities may be forced to get it (or something similar) because they're not proactive enough against copyright infringement.An ISP would probably have a hard time using it, because for it to be cost-effective it would have to monitor 1000's of lines at once...and that might require a wee bit much computer hardware, jacking its cost up rather than down!
