pwn3m
Why does the usage of internet on one computer for downloading torrents slow down the rest of the other computers internet on the network? My max upload rate is set to 30KB, and my bandwidth results are 500KBPS upload normally. However when any torrent program is running, the other computers get 76kbps upload. Things are downloading fine on the torrent program, but what about my other comps? Any help? Also, the default port utorrent is using is blocked. Will unblocking it not slow the internet on the other computers?
Switeck
Do note that µTorrent's speeds are torrent file transfers and in KiloBYTES/sec while bandwidth is typically measured in kilobits/sec. 1 KiloBYTE/sec file transfer takes about 8-10 kilobits/sec bandwidth...and even a little in the opposite direction. Ultima
Your problem's probably associated with DHT, IP resolving, UPnP, global maximum number of connections, or your upload rate.
