blingman
Whenever I run uTorrent my computer slows down really badly. I read the FAQ's and the sticky, I have AOL Active Virus Shield, but even with it turned off I'm having serious problems with the lag.The weirdest thing is I'm running a dual core 2.8 Ghz processor and whatever is causing the lag is only maxing out and putting strain on a single core. Do you guys have any suggestions as to what I could do?
Firon
Make sure your HDDs aren't set to PIO mode.
Ultima
Meaning Start > Run > devmgmt.msc, then check the primary and secondary IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers' properties to see if the current transfer modes for any of the devices are PIO.If not, do check the incompatible softwares list in the FAQ to see if you're running one of the softwares listed there. Else, get Process Explorer from sysinternals.com, run it, File > Save, then post the contents of the saved process list in the .txt file here.
