youthfire Posted April 13, 2007 Report Share Posted April 13, 2007 From the FAQ,I've learned the default net max_halfopen in uTorrent is 8 with an unpatched XP OS.Now I patch according to the advice and set it at 40.Does it mean I have to adjust manually the value in uT to at 32(0.8*40) or 38(just keep 2 connections)? Frankly speaking,I just know it should be under 50 but dont know how to define the number between 10-50 and also dont know how to calculate the number of net max_halfopen in uT. Leaving it as is won't affect anything beyond the first few minutes of connecting to peers.If you really, really, really want to change, then 0.8*40 = 32 is what you should be setting net.max_halfopen to.
