Lillglenn
The past week the program has started to crash for me. Sometimes i get an error message saying "uTorrent has crashed, and Utorrent will now restart. A Crash dump has been saved at c:\program\...... do you want to send it to the developer?" Sometimes the program terminates itself without any message att all.My systems specs are: AMD Sempron 3400+ @ 2.01GhzWin XP Pro 2002 SP2 (Were can you see if you have the 32 or 64 bit version?)Norman AntivirusNo software firewallHere is some of the crashdumpshttp://www.silverpilen.se/temp/490-utorrent.02ab.dmphttp://www.silverpilen.se/temp/490-utorrent.49fb.dmphttp://www.silverpilen.se/temp/490-utorrent.f0bb.dmp/Mike
Ultima
When was the last time you performed Windows Update? Have you repatched TCPIP.sys since then, if you've ever patched TCPIP.sys? What is your net.max_halfopen limit set to in Preferences > Advanced?
Lillglenn
It wasn't that long ago since the last win update, last week maybe i think. Repatched TCPIP.sys? Never done that, how and why should i do that?net.max_halfopen limit is set to 8Tanks/Micke
Ultima
Hm, first try setting the net.max_halfopen limit to 4 and check if that helps. If it helps only marginally, then I suppose you can try the TCPIP.sys patch and set the limit to... 20 or something. After patching, restart the computer. If it isn't completely fixed, the problem might be Norman being stupid (it's been reported to be buggy with µTorrent).
Lillglenn
Now i have tried to set the net.max_halfopen limit to 4 and changed limit for incoming connections to 50 with the TCPIP.sys patch and the program still keeps crashing. If it is Norman who is cause of the problem i would be a bit strange becuse it has been working fine along with uTorrent for quite a while now.Anyway thanks for trying to help!/Micke
Ultima
Can you try uninstalling Norman just to be sure?
Firon
Norman is known to do this. Only an uninstall will fix this, I believe.
