cherish
I am very new to this(last night to be exact). I have read all the info my little brain can handle, and I have a few questions, if anyone could assist I'd much appreciate it I have never had a green light for incoming connection, it was yellow all of last night. I disabled the firewall and tried several different ports; yada yada yada. So then for some reason the thing goes red and says there is no connection available..yet mysteriously my download rate is higher than it ever was while the thing was in the yellow! Does this make sense..How am I still downloading without an incoming connection? And why is the down speed faster after my connection goes from yellow to red?(twilight zone?) Firon
Turning off firewalls doesn't work (except the windows firewall). You must either uninstall it or configure it properly. And do NOT hijack other threads.
cherish
sorry about the hijack. I did not realize that I did that So do you think that my problem is the virus protection? And could you maybe answer my questions about downloading without any incoming connection?...pretty please? Firon
You can download without incoming connections because you can still make connections to unfirewalled peers. Your download speed improving is a coincidence.
