Ezra
I don't know if it's really a bug but it's kind of a nuisance. If the torrent is stopped and I select "Don't Download" on some completed files in a multi-file torrent, utorrent won't release the files and this way I won't be able to delete the files. Why is utorrent locking the files anyway, the torrent is stopped? Also after forcefully removing the files, utorrent will give an error if I try to Re-Check the file : "The Path is invalid". Ultima
I haven't seen µTorrent lock files for stopped torrents. And "Don't Download" means just that -- don't download. It doesn't mean "don't upload." Forcing a recheck shouldn't (and doesn't for me) show a "invalid path" error. If µTorrent doesn't find the missing files, it just marks them as undownloaded and attempts to download them again when the torrent starts. Firon
Probably because they were locked before you stopped it and it hasn't had the chance to release the lock. Even if the files are skipped, it still reads them for seeding purposes.
Ezra
But the torrent is stopped, so it should release the files, shouldn't it?
