Solved uTorrent problems in Vista on my brand new Dell-computer

uTorrent 1.6.1 on Dell Dimension 9200 with pre-installed Vista Home Premium.

Problem:

-uTorrent kept blocking my other internet traffic.

-uTorrent would also freeze after a short while, and sometimes suddenly get back, before freezing again.

-No more than one torrent could be downloaded at a time.

Solution:

I disabled the McAfee firewall, opened up my uTorrent port in the Windows firewall, and patched TCPIP.sys. All this seemed to somewhat loosen up the problem, but what *really* helped was completely uninstalling the pre-installed McAfee Internet Security Suite. Hooray! Now everything seem to be normal!

Disabling a firewall often isn't enough to solve problems caused by it because the system wide hooks are still in place.
