chinadog Posted June 16, 2007 Report Share Posted June 16, 2007 Running 1.6.1 build 490 and have all current updates for XP Home SP2.When I fire up utorrent, screens goes black and refreshes at a low resolution.I then need to go to control panel>display>settings and set it to "highest (32bit)" to get back to my normal screen. If I shut off utorrent, it goes back to "highest (32 bit) by itself, but otherwise, opening it always causes it to change to "lowest (8 bit)", which is readable, but a little crusty looking.I'm running a Dell P780 monitor on ATI Express 200 Series at 1024 x 768.Has anyone else run into this, or are there workarounds?Thanks in advance,Bill Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It was some kind of conflict that was occurring while the Java virtual machine was running. Get Process Explorer from sysinternals.com, run it, File > Save, then post the contents of the saved process list in the .txt file here.Edit: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15580... Ultima Posted June 16, 2007 Report Share Posted June 16, 2007 Heh I see a Java application...In any case, there doesn't seem to be an obvious reason why this is happening (at least not from your process list, it seems). Try messing with your graphics card settings (disabling anisotropic filtering and antialiasing settings?). Try uninstalling Java for the time being, since it seems to be the repeat culprit.
