@zahav.net.ilreuven
I have recently downloaded 5 files, and am now seeding without time or amount limit. Not all are being requested at the same time. I am at the same time downloading 1 file. Does unlimited seeding have an adverse effect on the rest of the community? or on my downloading? 5618
If by unlimited seeding you mean setting your upload speed to 0 (= unlimited), then yes. If you choke your upload bandwidth it will also affect your download bandwidth as a result. Just limit your upload bandwidth to around 80% of your maximum upload speed. 5618
That is no problem at all. It's actually a very good thing to do since it assures other people will be able to download the file too and with better speeds. the only way it would affect your downloading is if they use upload bandwidth that could be used by your active download. However, you could just stop seeding torrents while a downloading torrent needs upload bandwidth and restart them afterwards.
