Is there configurations inside of uTorrent or a solution that will throttle back bandwidth when another PC is detected accessing the network? I want torrents to run at full speed until someone else starts to access the net, then throttle down to nothing. I have changed Global number and Max number of connected peers to alleviate congestion but this had no effect. I am on Time Warner cable and have a Belkin Router. My connection is wired.I understand the fundamentals of my question are complicated and probably not achievable, but any help would be much appreciated. Switeck Posted July 17, 2007 Report Share Posted July 17, 2007 Belkin routers are very weak networking hardware.Not only must max connections be kept low, so too must half open connection rate (in µTorrent and otherwise!)...as well as other things must be disabled in µTorrent.Essentially, you have to disable DHT, Resolve IPs, and UPnP. ...at the least.
