Setting up Utorrent for Use with a VPN (SecureIX)?

I didn't want to install any new firewalls so made this small application to kill/restart listed processes if specified VPN connection is down. It checks the connection every 0.3 seconds and it has worked well for me:

The package has also full source code in case someone is interested to take a look. Or maybe integrate VPN checker to uTorrent?

Cheers,

Jani

Alternatively, on a Mac or Unix machine you can use Vuze (formerly Azureus), which you can configure to only to bind to your VPN interface. I'm not sure if this would work on a Windows machine.

I've described the process in a blog post here: http://continentalroast.blogspot.com/2011/08/macos-force-torrents-to-use-only-your.html

If you find a better way to do this on a Mac without purchasing a firewall, please let me know. I hate having to use Vuze. It's the antichrist of torrent clients... terrible piece of bloatware.
