How to read Seeds and Peers column?

Can someone explain what the parenthesized number represents in the Seeds and Peers column?

For example:

Seeds Peers

1(2) 11(14)

What do the parenthesized numbers mean?

That means I'm connected to 5 out of one possible? How can that be?

Update the tracker. It just means you've connected to new peers but the tracker hasn't updated yet.

But you're connected to 5 people.
