tasso85 Posted August 27, 2007 Report Share Posted August 27, 2007 hi...today, for the first time, I created an ipfilter.dat in order to manually ban a peer which caused many hashfails and which is not have been automatically banned by utorren itself (for reeasons I do not know)...aniway, I created the ipfilter.dat, placed it in the right directory, checked the ip is written correctly, checked if the ipfilter was enabled in the utorrent preferences, and the I stopped and restarted the torrent, in order to apply the ipfilter... but still, if i check the peer tab, the peer I wanted to ban is still there, causing hashfail over and over...why isn't it working? have I made some error?please, help! Switeck Posted August 27, 2007 Report Share Posted August 27, 2007 Did you include an ENTER after your ip entry?Did you use just the unformatted ip value, such as this:38.118.100.156or this:38.118.100.0-38.118.100.255NOTE: NO port number after the ip!
