Not Connectable yet downloading/uploading just fine

I just connected my Linksys WRT54GS router. I have been reading about the problems with firmware with this router, however my firmware seems to be newer than the firmware listed as being a problem. Anyway, it seems everything is ok, uploading at my max, and downloading just fine. So, what's the problem? I have the little tab at the bottom that says I am not connectable. So, I have to foward my port. I haven't done that yet, but like I said, Utorrent seems to be running just fine. So, why does everything seem ok, yet utorrent still shows me as unconnectable?

Also, I just downloaded something from a private tracker. The sitr showed I was unconnectable, yet I was still able to upload and download, and add to my ratio.

Sorry for being so long winded, I am just a little confused.

Unconnectable means other people cannot connect to you, however, you can still connect to other people, and thus upload and download with those you connected to.
