TheMaster
Heres the story. I was downloading uTorrent...When I downoaded it it changed half my icons into the uTorrent symbol. So what used to be like...a Musical note (For iTunes) was a green circle. Then when I double click my icons and the only ones that work are Internet Explorer and Recycle Bin. When I click something like iTunes here is exactly what it says: --Open With Choose the prgoram you want to use the open this fileFile:iTunes.exeRecommended Programs-Internet ExplorerOther Programs(lists my other programs)If the program you want is not in the list or on your computer, you can look for the appropriate program on the web.--When I dont click the icon and go to Start -> iTunes, it says This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel. Then it doesnt work at all. I tried sending one to recycle bin then restore it, but it didn't do anything.I also uninstalled uTorrent, nothing worked. Please help me... it's driving me crazy... Firon
µTorrent doesn't make your programs stop downloading. You either downloaded an infected utorrent (not from our site), or it was a coincidence and something else screwed your system.Sounds like you got a worm or something. TheMaster
It didn't stop my programs from downloading. Its just that when I double click something, it gives the option of "Open With" with makes it not work.
Firon
You said you can't even open iTunes. That sounds like a virus to me.
TheMaster
Well I'm on Windows Vista. Does that make a difference? Plus, the only thing different is that it prompts me with an "open with". And what do you suggest I should do to solve this if there's no solution? Lord Alderaan
µtorrent couldn't possibly have caused that. You probably suffer from a virus, worm or weird program that did mess it up for you. As far as I know there are no simple ways to solve this. The simplest thing that springs to my mind is a fresh install of Vista.
