heroic_autobot Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 I'm downloading japanese music, but the files with japanese characters (represented as "?") generate an error like this:can't open file d:/........................song??????.mp3where the name of the file is "song??????.mp3" and ? are a japanese character. And this causes all the download stop, even the ones without that problem. But all this files are inside a folder, and are several folders inside the Torrent.I seek in the FAQ and found how solve problems like this in the Torrent name itself, but not in the inner files¿Can anyone help me with this?
Firon Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Install the East Asian support in Windows.
heroic_autobot Posted October 13, 2007 Author Report Posted October 13, 2007 Thanks, but that's something I did a long time ago, and works fine with Windows (an Internet explorer, etc) but not with uTorrent
Firon Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 Are you using Windows 98 or something? It works fine for me on 2003 server (and XP).
heroic_autobot Posted October 15, 2007 Author Report Posted October 15, 2007 That could be the problem, yes, I'm using Win 98 SE.There is a way to solve this? (besides buying XP or Vista, still had to buy first a PC that suport them)
Firon Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 Upgrade to Windows 2000. We'd have to hack around it to fix this issue.
