Using same utorrent settings on a new computer

I am using our joint laptop to download torrents on but want to by another for this purpose among other things.If the same router as before is used can I use the exact same settings on the new laptop as before and it will work automatically i.e port number. The open port that we use works well but can that in effect be shared between two computers if only one computer is used at a time. Also if I use a wireless adapter on the new computer to connect to the router will it download torrents to the new computer as quickly as if it was connected by cable. Obviously if the signal is strong. Hope this makes sense!Thanks Jim

The port should be forwarded to a specific internal IP so if both your machines use the same port + LAN IP but are never on the network simultaneously, it should work.

Wireless will generally be slower than cable, as most wireless hardware can't handle the no. of concurrent connections uTorrent makes.
