MOST internet connections do not use proxies.If you have multiple computers connected to the internet, it's probably through a router...and that has to be port forwarded to the specific computer which uses uTorrent.The port not open firewall issue may be caused by something other than your router firewalling uTorrent.Software firewalls are often hidden in antivirus and antispyware software now.Even many modems often contain mini-routers and/or firewalls that need to be configured or disabled!
