Torrent clients are crashing

Hello!

I have a problem. Every time I try to launch utorrent or any other bittorrent client, the speed of the download goes to the max, but then the torrent application gives out an error.

I have already ran Spybot, AVG antivirus and socks fix as suggested on the forum - with no success. Everything else is running perfectly. Has anyone got a solution? After I went to 1.7.7 of utorrent everything went normal - I'm sure I was infected but I have cleaned everything so this shouldn't be a problem. It's definately something in my PC as my laptop works.

Anyone got a solution?

All I can say is to try the 1.8 beta. Or reinstall Windows...

1.8 beta crashes on startup - 1.7.7 is working till the download speed reaches cca. 700 kb/s, then the same error message is shown.

Bitcomet is working fine, but utorrent is better. By browsing the forum I saw crashes of many users - so there should be a problem with utorrent, despite the fact that it's working on my 2 other machines.

Does the RAM usage go out of control when it crashes on 1.7.7?

And well, your system was infected, so who knows what sort of junk is left on it (or what was corrupted).

Have you tried cleaning out the dat files from %AppData%\uTorrent?
