Need help with port forwarding

Hello,

I recently upgraded the router to Dlink DIR 655. Since then i am having problems with port forwarding. I followed all the steps as listed in portforward.com and it is still showing that yellow triangle with ! symbol.

Any suggestions on how to make it green. In my previous router it worked very easily and i was able to do port forwarding but not in this new router.

Please help.

Thanks

Aykay

Yes i tested it using the port tester in uTorrent and it gave me

Checking port 5055 on 71.251.130.196...

Error! Port 5055 does not appear to be open.

So i followed the steps given in www.portforward.com and that didnt resolve it either. i have a static ip and it was working before with my previous router and this started happening only when i changed my router.

Thanks

Aykay

I havent installed any new software. I just changed the router.

Click here to get the Dlink screen shot and ipconfig readout.

Please let me know if you need additional details.

Thanks

That's what I forgot to ask about, you posting two days later I forgot what I wanted to ask next :/

Anyway, your welcome. You might want to read my guide in my signature regarding bridge mode, this way you only have one functioning router instead of two. It's not necessary, but if your D-Link can't take high speed transfers very well it will come in handy. Try testing with open office torrents to make sure it's alright: http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/
