Cats Eye Posted July 24, 2008 Report Share Posted July 24, 2008 Hi,I am a new torrent user, I have downloaded movies for about a week.I dont understand what seeds, leachers and peers mean.Is it better to select a torrent with more seeds and leachers?Sometimes when I download halfway the arrow suddenly goes red but It still shows as downloading, If its red does it mean it wont download any further?Can I get some tips to increase the speeds.My average down and up speeds for a 700mb file is 25kbps :-( and hence takes hell a of lot of time to download. Smaller files reach 150kbps.My internet connection is around 512kbps, im not sure coz its my office network.Please Respond.Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Switeck Posted July 24, 2008 Report Share Posted July 24, 2008 If you can only upload around 25 KiloBYTES/second sustained, then you probably need to select the 256 kilobits/second upload setting from my speed list. 2nd link in my signature.
