Pettson
Got myself a new PC just a few days ago, installed µTorrent and started DL'ing a few torrents (24, to be precise). The thing is, I like to have my torrents sorted by completion, so I clicked the "done" bar, and got them sorted in the way they should be. And now the problem; this resets after a few moments, so all torrents are sorted by name again. So my question is: is there anyway to get the torrents to stay sorted the way you want them?(I had no problem with this, using µTorrent 1.8 on my old PC)
thelittlefire
What version are you using? Alt-H-A please include build too. It's not the first reporting.. but are you sure you set the sort correctly. You can Shift-click to secondary-sort, but the primary sort would still show in the column header as an up/down arrow. Pettson
Well yup, primary sorting is set to "Done". (Shows up as blue and with a small arrow to indicate descending or ascending.)Running µTorrent 1.8 build 11813.
Ultima
O_oTry removing Start > Run > %appdata%\uTorrent\settings.dat(.old)Then reconfigure µTorrent.
thelittlefire
I'd back it up first, as the column data stored in it may be useful? I saw a thread about how to read it a while ago..
Pettson
For some (heck if I know) reason the problem seems to have disappeared, I haven't encountered it in the last hours of operation, and it seems like it wont appear again either. Strange, since I haven't done anything to change it. O_O
thelittlefire
Is it possible you had SECOND sorted by name?
Pettson
That could be possible (although I didn't notice any blue tone on the name bar, as should be when it's selected as secondary sorting), and I also played around a bit with secondary sorting options. But still, that shouldn't affect primary sorting, right?
Ultima
Secondary sorting isn't indicated visually in any way -- you just have to remember/know you secondarily sorted on another column
thelittlefire
Hmm yeah there's been talk of SOME visual indication for second-sort previously, but to directly answer your question NO, the problem is still anomalous and .. unexplainable without (at minimum) settings.dat from afflicted uTorrent. Pettson
Hmm, I could swear I saw a blue shimmer on the options I selected for secondary sorting... Nevermind, it works now for some reason, and I guess the settings.dat wont help much now ^^
