drolz
Since upgrading to 1.8, my RSS feed will only update itself when I do it manually or restart utorrent. I have tried multiple time settings on the update_interval option and none make any difference.I receive no errors in the log. This doesn't seem to be a connectivity issue since it works fine manually, but it just won't auto-update the feed. Any ideas?
thelittlefire
Can you double check the Favorite setting in the RSS pane, Ctrl-R. Did you enable any minimum interval? Could you take a screenshot of the settings in it?
drolz
The favorite setting isn't the issue. When the feed is updated, my favorites are downloaded without fail. The line in advanced options reads:rss.update_interval
thelittlefire
I saw that the first time. . .Are all your favorites feed-specific? The default (auto-created rule) in 1.7 was ALL feeds for your search term. In 1.8 when you add a new feed/favorite it's ALL items in the specific FEED (word, ALL vs. *, FEED_NAME). If you look at the feed in any reader where you can read source (i.e. browser, not uT) do you see a <ttl> tag?
drolz
I only have one feed, and all my favorites are set to (All) in the feed box. I do not see a <ttl> tag when looking at the feed in my browser.
thelittlefire
You have to use "view source" to see the tags. TTL apparently sets a minimum refresh interval. I.E. if you update BEFORE the interval nothing happens.
drolz
Ah ha. Yes, the ttl tag is set to 120 which explain this. Why is it though that I can still update the feed manually? And is there a way to override this tag?
thelittlefire
Ask the devs.. probably not. They likely won't allow manually updaating before ttl in the future though. Though.. it should become evident by then (new column perhaps in rss view) WHY
