thelittlefire
Well it depends what causes the disk overloaded.. Do you only get it while adding torrents? http://utorrent.com/faq.php#What_does_Disk_Overload_in_the_status_bar_mean.3F
dcom
after adding and starting the torrent it will happen .. then it happends a few times till its gone and then i can download without problems .. so maybe utorrent adjusts something after that errors..after reading that site it says that it will show this error but then continue .. but for me it stops the torrent .. then says the network is no longer available and then i got to rehash the torrent :S then i can start it again .. networks are all available cause other torrents still running ...and is it better to set the cache size manually or let utorrent set it - which size would be good if manually ? Ultima
I wouldn't expect disk IO to be great on a VM. How fast are you downloading?
dcom
i got a 16mbit line .. but id expect something like 100mbit to be possible with the vmware network adapters
Ultima
Network throughput != disk IO throughputHow fast are you downloading?

Ultima
http://www.google.com/search?q=vmware+disk+iohttp://www.virtualization.info/2005/11/how-to-improve-disk-io-performances.htmlhttp://marksmanuk.blogspot.com/2008/01/vmware-disk-io-performance.htmlI can't verify that any of these will help, but the point is that disk IO isn't going to be great on a VM.
