huffy
Does speed have anything to do with what client you use?
Ultima
Sorta... if the client is implemented well, then it should get good speeds, assuming it's configured well too. If the client is coded crapily, then you probably won't get good speeds out of it.The 3 most popular clients (Azureus, BitComet, and µTorrent) all fare well when it comes to speed comparisons, if you can configure all of them well. Then there are other clients that are made specifically to save resources (there was Arctic and some other C++ one) that work like crap (or at least from what I've heard). Firon
Most clients are the same (BitComet has an advantage SOME of the time because it cheats)

Ultima
There are plenty of guides on the forum (check 1c3d0g's stickied thread in the speed problems forum). Also, try the latest beta -- it has a speed guide wizard that helps you make decent configurations.
