Can anyone tell me how to get my resume.dat to save to my apps folder? Every time uTorrent starts up since i upgraded it to 1.8.1 i have to redo the settings every time i start uTorrent up and it is really annoying me now lol

No, i know that and when i look in my apps folder it is there but uTorrent logger is saying The file C:\Documentsandsettings\user\applicationdata\uTorrent\resume.dat was damaged/missing. It has been recovered. But none of my torrents will save and i have to manually restart them each time uTorrent is restarted along with all my uTorrent preferred settings. This only happened when i went to 1.8.1.

Yep, but it will not delete. Error message says: Cannot delete resume. Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use. This is when i try to delete with uTorrent turned off.

Ok, i deleted resume.dat. Should i also delete resume.dat old?

What then, just restart uTorrent or anything else need doing? I read somewhere that i should move all my files from app and put in program files where uTorrent.exe is. Is this recommended?

You can trash resume.dat.old too. If you want new "blank" settings, delete settings.dat too.

In AppData, you need to keep this files (resume, dht, settings, flags, ipfilter etc...). Anyway you can create a folder named "torrents" and move all your .torrents into it. Just specify this folder in Settings > Directories in uT.

Of course you can move all your .torrents in the folder that you want.

Ok, just looked in AppData and find that there is no flags, no ipfilter only resume.dat, dht.dat, rss.dat and settings.dat.

Is there any reason why that would be the case?

Yep ! :) Because my answer was general !

But if you want to filter IP or assign IP in peers tab to right flags, you need to use theses files (ipfilter, flags) in AppData folder !

But it's an user option, not by default in uT, so it's normal in your case.
