Low speeds / connecting to a low number of Seeds & peers.

Hi there,

In the past, I used to download torrents at a good speed and connecting to a lot of seeds & peers. For example, every week I was used to download Prison Break's episode at 400 / 500 kb/s, which is good for my country (Portugal).

But, suddenly my download speeds started to decrease, and download speeds went from 400 / 500 to a maximum of 50 / 70 kb/s.

I didn't change any settings. I changed my router to a WRT54GL but I've used it for 2 weeks and my download speeds even inscreased! After that it started to descrease.

So far, I've used the TCP/IP patch to set max connections to 100 and I used the TCP Optimizer software.

Try more like 1/10th that -- like 5-8.

2nd link in my signature for other settings in uTorrent. In your case, probably the 384 or 448 kilobits/second upload settings.

If you haven't already, set outgoing encryption (under BitTorrent in preferences) to Enabled or FORCED.

Well I followed your instructions and it seemed to work pretty well. I was downloading a torrent at 50kb/s and now it's downloading at 150kb/s, which is already an acceptable value for my connection
