keiichi999
Hello, I have a laptop, HDD usage is critical here, I wonder if I can reduce the amount of times the utorrent write directly on the HD, I read about the "cache" but I do not know configure, how do I proceed to use less HDD, No matter if the utorrent use double the memory (I have 2GB). thanks. Firon
Why is HDD usage critical on your laptop? If it's to save battery life, the power consumption of an idle drive vs a fully loaded drive is very similar. If you wanna reduce wear on the drive, spinning down the drive all the time is more likely to kill it faster than actually using it.

Firon
Caching is really done for performance reasons. If everything was written instantly, performance would be absolutely abysmal.
