chucket
i cannot verify this with any other program. i just went to sp3 recently. my other scan program found 1 item last week. removed it and spent the next 3 days saving my computer (it's still screwed up but tolerable). Afraid to remove these but wanted to check if any else had heard of this. would like to be sure ( $3,000 dell xps-hate to lose it). this is supposed to be a ligit entry for the 1p6v and toredo, right. although i don't recall installing them myself. never had these problems with sp2. (OS is xp mce2005).any help please?
Ultima
What 6to4 location are you referring to? Yes, IPv6 and Teredo are used by µTorrent.
chucket
i believe half of them are in systems\currentcontrolset\services\6to4 subfolders the others are in systems\controlset001\services\6to4 subfolders .
Ultima
The thing with 6to4 is that... well, I don't think µTorrent uses 6to4. Teredo is similar to 6to4 in terms of goals, but they're different methods of achieving the same results.
chucket
i really can't find anything in google specifically pointing to 6to4. is there anyway of telling what these registry keys are linked to?
Firon
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/6to4IPv6 support in Windows does come with a 6to4 pseudo-adapter, so I'd wager that it's quite legit and your antispyware software is very wrong. It's on my system and I know it's a legitimate service.
chucket
thank you folks. since the same keys and values are in controlset002 and does not alert, im inclined to believe you.
