They're located in ~/Library/Preferences/com.bittorrent.utorrent.plist and ~/Library/Application Support/uTorrent/. Also, can you open Activity Monitory, select uTorrent, and hit "Sample"? Then copy/paste the output to slexy.org and link to it here please. This way, if there's a hang, the devs will be able to see where it occurs and (hopefully) fix it.
