fflakes Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 Hi, I've been trying to read up on this for the whole afternoon without a clear answer. I have proper port-forwarding via upnp (tested via link on 16000 port), and I can have very fast download speeds up to 800+kB/s on some torrents. However, on ones with lower seeds/peers (56/231 with the one currently), I can only get around 30-50kB/s. When I check the connections, I am connected to 12/39 but I am only getting the file from actually about 8 of them according to peers tab. Is there a setting to increase the number of connections I am actually getting transfers from or is it just swarm-dependent?Thanks for your help.
Switeck Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Make sure your total upload speed is reaching and sustaining the upload speed max you chose in uTorrent. Also check that each person you're uploading to at a given moment is able to get at least 3 KB/sec...any slower and they're far less likely to return the favor!Beyond ~10 KB/sec per person, many cannot return the favor that fast.
