shnorb
Have had a search of the forum, but can't find much up to date help.Unplugged my computer for a lan, but now when I plugged it back in none of my torrents are registering. I have tried to resume by changing around the different resume.dat files in my directory, but I'm not sure if I am doing it right. I would really appreciate some advice here as resuming and rechecking 250 torrents and about 1TB of data is about the last thing I want to do :S
moogly
Do you see your torrents in the main window of uT ?
shnorb
No I do not. There are no torrents listed in any section and all of my custom labels are gone as well now that I think of it...
moogly
Ok. Big pbm. Can you check the size (kB) of your current resume.dat in %appdata%/utorrent ?I hope it's not 1kB... :/
shnorb
Yeah it is... D:There are 14 resume.dat.#.bad files of varying sizes however, does that help or should I just start weeping now?
moogly
Yes in the future, save one copy of resume.dat and settings.dat for a potential back-up, especially if you have a ton of torrents in uT.Yep keep these old resume.dat.Close uT. Select the largest one and remove the .#.badReopen uT and see what happens.
shnorb
Thanks for the recommendations. Yeah I tried that before, it just changes the file back to a 1Kb resume.dat file.
moogly
You can isolate a copy of these bad resume.dat and open it with BEncode Editor (freeware):http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=31306And look at what you can save inside. moogly
The last try is to auto load the torrents in uT (in the same global folder anyway).Watch the migration guide on uT homepage.
